henward
http://evolutionaqua.com/acatalog/Kaldnes_K1_Media.html the site i just saw it on a website a while ago, apparently the use it for sewerage but to be honest, i dont think i really needed it, i kinda got some buyers remorse:D being completley up front, realising that my current media set up, well, its over kill as it is. but, there was something awesome having constantly moving media, looks so industrial... so i got it anyways:D when i set up new tank, i will re arrange the media in the compartments in this same sump to incorporate static AND moving media. so, in essense, i could probably relieve myself in the tank and its still ok:D :rolfl:

disgustipated
that actually looks quite trippy. careful, you might spend more time watching the media than you do watching your aro lol i could probably relieve myself in the tank and its still ok i'm sure you could! so put your money where your mouth is! don't forget to censor your man piece out of the video though.... David R
Is there any water flowing thru all those noodles? Kinda looks like its all going over the top... K1 looks cool tho!
henward
Yeah the noodles are getting huge amounts of flow. The water comes from under and drains from top another end. Can see water pushing through the noodles if you remove lid. K1 looks cool.... I believe the k1 was more for me than tank needs lol

David R
You can work out the amount of K1 you need based on the calculations they use for aquaculture, how big your fish are and how much you feed. This guy explains how (as well as building an awesome K1 filter in a barrel, which Henward won't like cos you can't see the media moving! )in this video: http://youtu.be/FwandSa_Hrg
