Rabbit
I feed pretty much everything that comes into the house (given goggle search doesn't reveal anything adverse).
aotealotl
apparently they are easy to breed and very nutritious. where do you get your larvae from ? (green compost ?) it is so bloody hot at the moment down here there is barely any insects on flowers or bushes.
FACEAnthrax
Their larva are very nutritious for reptiles and can be used as a staple insect with enough calcium that generally they don't need dusting. However they are very hard to breed in New Zealand as they are not overly common, and if captured require a large flight area in order to mate. Biosuppliers had a go trying to breed them to add to their list of insects but had no such luck in being able to produce a sustainable amount. snookie
i had heaps in an old fridge freezer ,which we use to store the garbage to prevent cats ripping into the bags ,outside it was crawling with them . water dragons loved them , alas wifey thought they were maggots and washed them all away :dunno: i hope i will see them again

Insectile
My frogs also go nuts for the adult flies when I can catch them, We usually have heaps of adults in the summer but so far I haven't found any larvae save for a few I found by accident in the firewood. aotealotl
they are back... are you keen to send/sell me some larvae ? I am very interested to start breeding them for my animals
FACEAnthrax
are you keen to send/sell me some larvae ? I am very interested to start breeding them for my animals I'd be keen too, but they're really hard to breed, the adults need a large flying area as they only mate during flight.
