disgustipated Posted November 30, 2012 Report Share Posted November 30, 2012 early this week, noticed my carpintis texas cichlid had white bits on him. thought it was ick, so put him in wonder tonic with 20% water change daily today i found him on his side in the blue tank so i acclimatised him back to the main tank. now he's acting drunk for the last 6 hours. seriously like he's trashed. sometimes he can hold it together but he's stumbling all over the place. keeps gulping air from the surface. all other fish in the tank are sweet, doing their normal thing. F15hguy Posted December 1, 2012 Report Share Posted December 1, 2012 dissection ????? maybe swimbladder infection, maybe brain infection??? biggest cause of activity like that (minus white spots) is Nitrate poisoning just rescued a discus that was doing that just by increasing water changes. why did you aeuthanise???? always try a quarantine tank first (best thing is quarantine tanks are usually 0% nitrates initially) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
