Modern Angl
Mine have spawned.... twice.... I had moved them into the breeding tank last night and they left a sizable amount of eggs there this morning, then when Mystic dropped of Nemo, She noticed one or two(!!) fry floating about in the large tank. I reckon I've now got around 50-80 fry plus the eggs, will be interesting to see how many I end up with

Modern Angl
moved another 60 from the big tank this morning, more every day....
Pegasus
Sounds like a good show MA Great stuff. Always a market for Zebs if the quality and size is good.
Modern Angl
add another 40 to the 60 earlier.... think I must have approx 200+ by now, and I think the female laid a huge pile of eggs again this morning in another tank, I'll see if any fry survive the 4 danio's and 14 neons in that one.... Janey
Are they ones you are 'growing up' for the club competition? Maybe the competition should have been... who can come back in 3 months with the MOST fish, not the BEST fish!
Modern Angl
yeah Jane, the same ones, spotted yet more in the big tank.....
Joze
mine are dropping left right and center too, even with the prolific plants they are seeking them out to eat.Starting to think about pulling them out and putting them in another tank with a small internal filter and some UGF crating
livebearer_breeder
Haha, looks like winstons fish are really prolific, mine are doing the same thing everyday, however they are in a heavily populated tank, theres no way there eggs will survive or any fry(good!). Congrates MA Shae
Modern Angl
moved another 100 this morning, must be well over 300 fry now, just hope most survive long enough!
Billaney
they are doing really well what are you feeding them on ?
Modern Angl
Green water and very small doses of liquifry atm, as for the parents, brine shrimp seems to be the aphrodisiac of choice
Billaney
I'm feeding my fry the same but no brine shrimp for my adults , i haven't got any but they seem more than happy with blood worm, mozzy lava and flake, they always seem ready to drop more just not enough tank space...
