franzeskahirst
hiya, i am having trouble finding enough food for my whistling tree frogs .they have been eating fruitflies from our compost bin but there is never enough and they are still looking quite thin. anyone have any ideas on what else i can feed them that would fatten them up? houseflies are too big for them yet. would small crickets be ok? they are only quite small frogs only 2 months since they emerged from taddies. wheres the cheapest place (shop or mail order?)to get live crickets or other live foods? both pet shops in lower hutt dont have any at the moment. thanks in advance Fran
livingart
you will be surprised by how big a food they can eat slaters, small mealworms, earthworms, spiders etc usually go down alright
Tsarmina
the houseflies from hutt pets are smaller than the flies we get in our houses here in wainui, lol they should be fine for smaller frogs
Mikey
A lot of little cockroaches running around at the moment as well, they will gobble them up. Could always leave an outside light on and capture some moths and stuff that come calling as well.
nznatives
Mosquitos, if you have some stagnant water outside, put the larvae in a container in the tank then when they hatch out the frogs will go for them
