F15hguy
ok im stumped. have a tank with white cloud minnows. added a few more the other day and now their all dying off, starting with the new ones but now the older ones are dying as well. symptoms: no visible signs until fins clamp up, the floating on surface dead. no skin slime problems, no dropsy, no gasping, just clamp then die over 24hr period. tried salt treatment no effect. Parameters: pH: 7.4 NH3: 0 NO2:0 NO3: <10ppm Temp: 18 degrees C (heater controlled so not dropping any lower) will try wundertonic today but really want to figure this out. Adrienne
did you quarrantine the new ones for a month before adding?
alanmin4304
Many moons ago when I was breeding white clouds in big numbers (both in ponds over summer and tropical tanks) I found that they were relatively easy to get from tropical to ponds but very difficult the other way. Would this be the problem?
Adrienne
You could be right alanmin. The transfer from cold to warm could be causing some sort of fungal issue but it certainly sounds like the new ones are the root of the problem. F15hguy
will have to wait and see if wundertonic works, otherwise if they all die then tank nuke
Adrienne
have you checked the tank temp is not going higher than 18 why do you have the temp set for them? My golds just have to put up with whatever the house temp is
F15hguy
they are in an uninsulated, open room, its more to prevent temp fluctuations than anything (the goldfish tanks can get down to 5 degrees on some nights)

Would this be the problem? they were from a different supplier than usual, will have to check out what their holding tanks are like
GrahamC
My limited experience is that a few months ago I moved my surviving WCMM from the gold fish tank into a tropical 25 Deg C tank. Today I had a look and I see a single 1 cm fry with the three adults
