karina
The fellow below was sold to me as a JD but as he/she grew I started to believe that he/she wasn't 100% JD. I think he/she may be a Convict x JD. He/she is now pretty big (photo taken 1 year ago) and a chunky looking fish. Thoughts?
zeebee
Yeah I think your right about it looking like a convict JD cross.. cool looking fish though
F15hguy
+1, definately not a jd, probably not a convict, most likely a very cool looking hybrid
karina
Yeah at start I really wanted a JD and figured it was a hybrid. But then this fish stole my heart with its personality. Only fish I have ever had that has to charge at it's food and splash at the surface then dive quickly back down and repeat again and again....... I've got pretty wet several times by not closing the tank lid fast enough :slfg: Now he/she is in a old style glass tank with the gaps and water is being flicked onto the carpet!!!

karina
Here you go taken tonight. Had to use all manner of temptations to bring him out of his new "fish cave". I've had him 16 months and bought him at 2" and now about 8"
wee2
conx JD hope he is not in that 430L with your neons . nice and stocky fish definitely carries Convict's dorsel fin and JD's ventral fin and tail but has con's strip patten. with JD's blue scales on the cheek

He is in another tank with a real JD, red shoulder Severum and gold saum. I actually prefer him to a JD. Just goes to show that sometimes the shops don't even know what they are selling.
