Volkster
Hi Guys, A friend of mine is trying to find some Black Oranda Goldfish. I'm a marine hobiest myeslf and so have no idea where to start in the freshwater arena. I understand this is a rare fish in NZ and currently out of season for breeding but if anyone could point me in the direction on where I could source these you would be helping me "clear my debt" :happy1: I believe there is someone down soth that breeds these ?? That's about all I know... So again any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance P.S. Hope I posted in the right place.
Caryl
There was an is813 selling them on TradeMe late 2011 and early 2012
yeh_buddy
There is currently a Male Black Oranda for sale on Trademe for $120. Hope he is willing to part with big bucks, they always get snapped up for a hefty price!! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =495530963 Failing that ls813 tends to list them frequently. GrahamC
Doesn't look very black! More silverish. Wonder if you can get them the same deep black as those black moors you see. But then again I doubt I'd buy another oranda .. mine seems to like sleeping upside down in a corner of the tank
yeh_buddy
Here's the latest turn out from Is813... Nice price tag too. http://www.trademe.co.nz/pets-animals/f ... 784577.htm
zuri08
thats pretty cheap to me.I us e to sell black orandas for 700 a pair a few years ago.the trouble with orandas is most of them are mutts and hardly stay black is813 has quality though thats why the price tag is the wat it is
yeh_buddy
Hence why I said nice price tag too, going fairly cheap atm compared to what I've normally seen them go for. Yep got to love Is813 quality, looking forward to see how his Ranchu line turn out like too. He also has a Blue Oranda going for about $100 less than his black one. I must admit I am very tempted to bid.
