Chris H
I got told bristle nose don't like sandy substrate and I also have no wood or plants in there I got told pictus catfish would be fine but im wary because they are fairly expensive
Bellshill Belgians
cuckoo synodontis?
David R
I wouldn't go for a pictus in that than, 200L is a little on the small side IMO, bristlenose will be fine with sandy substrate. Some synodontis will work, others will get way too big for the tank so check them out online before buying!

Chris H
It's an AR980 like 96 long
Guest
96cm? thats just about over 3ft? Well for rusty might be ok. But for red empress it will out grow the tank when they are around 15cm. There will be some aggressive issue depends on other type of fish and F/M ratio you have at that time in your tank. As the tank is not that big the fish might get pushed into top corner. When you see that happens its time to move them to a bigger tank.

They looks very nice. Especially clowns they are so active and cute.

Especially clowns they are so active and cute. Probably not that long if the fish are being looked after, but that is irrelevant, glad they have somewhere to go. Bristlenoses are great for cleaning up algae, I have them on sand in all of my tanks and don't have wood in the tanks for them. I think they get enough roughage eating left over cichlid food (if there is ever any left). If you want to add others then the cuckoos can be a good option too. If the tank isn't big enough for those cichlids it certainly isn't big enough for clowns!! Perhaps some of the smaller species of loach would be more suitable (although the water parameters aren't ideal).
