supasi
Plant number one is http://www.fnzas.org.nz/?p=2698 Plant number two looks more like an algae to me. But I am no expert.
blueether
Plant number one is http://www.fnzas.org.nz/?p=2698 Thought as much... Plant number two looks more like an algae to me. But I am no expert.and nitella isn't? I have one that is the the typical (as in the pics on the fnzas plant DB) and another that is much less defined and more tangled looking. The one in the second pic is more algae looking, less structured but still looks to branch. I'll grow it in a small container and see what it comes out like. alanmin4304
Nitella is very brittle and breaks up readily into little bits that develop into plants and that is why it is such a pest.
