zuri08
For starters the guppy markets almost dead because of the crappy stock we have if you want to onsell and make some money you wont be able to do it from the fish on trademe mate. get some nice ones from hff or get them off a trademe member locarno1 although its hard to get his best stock fry dont sell well because nobody wants to wait for a fish to grow up to see what it turns out like You could add as much water as possible till new tank
aaron11
I use to sell fry on trademe 20 for 20 dollars and i use to get 2 or 3 people a week come and buy them So they do sell i reckon.. Not as fast as the other fish I dont want to buy one pair and breed my own strain just decent fish I think throw the lot in and see what they do thanks for the heads up on the name
livingart
throwing the lot in will give you lots of variety but will end up producing a lot of rubbish as well personally i would pick 2 or 3 nice trios of the same type of colour and confirmation and breed true this can be done in smaller tanks use the big tank to raise the fry until they are showing good colour then onsell

zuri08
The best way to make money is to spend money to get quality stiff that people want some good strains to you use are platinums.real tuxedos.albinos.cobras.lyretail.moscows but they dont sell too well.if you spend like 40 on some really nice ones its worth it. ps.i use to breed thousands of guppies most of the shores pet shops were my old guppies and some central and eastern bought alot of mine.trademe is ok for selling a few but u can make more by selling to shops hth
aaron11
zuri08 thanks mate good idea if had excess to get rid of a few to shops. Id like to keep the nice ones for my other tanks. the last lost of guppies i brought from a pet store 3 died . got one nice male and i will spend more and get a nice batch off trademe or buy them in bits I did breed them before but i just let them all do their own thing was amazing what i got :sage:
Sheepsnana
I've had some up on Trademe recently, also ended up doing a 20 for $20 deal. Not a large demand for them atm, and lots of crap fish up there too. Make sure your buyer allows you to see the fish before you buy them so you can check that they're in good condition. I'm selling more of my plain ones and breeding my tuxedos instead. However, this seems to have backfired, since the pet shops are now full of them...
