 Hi. New pots are fine, I put them straight in the tank. Used pots may have fertilisers soaked into them so are best soaked in a bucket for a couple of days with frequent water changes. Many people use them as breeding caves. Bristlenoses love them as do cave spawning Cichlids like Apistogrammas.

Many things you need to do. In order: Open the hood, remove any lids on the tank, grab the pot, lift it above the tank height, move it over the tank, lower into the water. Release when in final position.

Done. :slfg:

Ira, I see you haven't changed a bit... I've missed this place!

Anyway, back to the pots. Do they always have to be broken in 2 or is this just a preference thing? Are they hard to break/split and what would you use?

Thanks,

Caper
