Currently i am changing 15% each week (every Wednesday night) Have a smaller system so feel it is important not to skip this. I use NSW and I believe that it is preferable to do more smaller changes, but it does not always fit with weather and my schedule. skuzza Posted February 13, 2005 Report Share Posted February 13, 2005 10% per week or 20% every 2 weeks.This seems to garranty my nitrate and phos levels stay away.It also depends on feeding,amount of fish etc.I just kept upping the amount of water changed per week till it suited my tank.
