Morcs
Will this work? Its on a little Aquaone 101F Internal filter, with nutrafin diy Co2 unit, plugged straight onto the venturi, and out via spray bar. Cant see if it works as no bubble counter (ordered), but wondering with regards to pressure etc... whether it will pull the co2 through quicker, which could be dangerous etc etc Will take a photo tonight. alanmin4304
A venturi can only pull the CO2 that is produced as it is produced on a diy setup. Looking at equilibrium then the removal of the CO2 may encourage an increase in production but I think it would be so insignificant as to not matter. kiwiplymouth
I do this with a 103F with the co2 source from a pressurised system via a bubble counter. I get great co2 diffusion and great results.
Morcs
Sweet good to know the idea is proven
supasi
I agree, it would not be an issue. I have done so before without issues. The biggest problem is is the unability to have a constant CO2 Production without fluctuations that all DIY set ups have.

blueether
and not being able to cease production outside of photoperiod hours have a solenoid and vent the DIY CO2 to the atmosphere?
supasi
have a solenoid and vent the DIY CO2 to the atmosphere? Might get charged carbon tax then. LOL
blueether
Might get charged carbon tax then. LOL Does that mean that a fully planted Hi-Tech CO2 system would gain carbon credits?

kiwiplymouth
I work for a company that has over 200 hectares are fruit trees and we don't get carbon credits so I don't like your chances
