hyjinx
i have just wondering if wet newspaper is ok as i received some plants in it and i know that the ink is toxic to birds and i assume fish would be quite sensative to toxic things. so i have not put them in tank just in a bucket soaking plants were stargrass, java moss and fern. Squirt
Hi I have received plants wrapped in newspaper and there has been no problems, if you are concerned maybe run them under a tap first. HTH

kiwiplymouth
I send plants wrapped in newspaper 2-3 times a week. The plants have always arrived in good condition. There have never been any toxicity issues with wither plants or fish. I think nearly all news print inks are now soy based and non toxic. newspaper is used to feed worm farms and to make compost. Should be fine. And I don't believe the ink in newspapers is toxic to birds.
