danval
Just got a pair of these from LFS. :happy1: They also had Hongsloi in store but budget didn't stretch that far. Will post a pic once they have settled in.

danval
They had four... Three looked definite males and hopefully the one I grabbed was a female. They were $42 each but I would have paid more...
antwan
Nice one, good luck with them. They can be tricky little buggers to sex sometimes.

ryanjury
Looks like they have some potential They should get better once they have settled. Glad to see people still importing or people breeding these guys again!
Sunbird73
awesome. Can't wait to see some in person (think my LFS has some on order for next week). How blue is the male IRL? am wondering if I need to clear some tank space
danval
The photo doesn't do him justice. The blue sheen is awesome and he really looks the part when he is flaring at the female. (I hope it is a female as Antwan has put some doubt in my mind :dunno: )

Dont say that! dont want the shops raising their prices before the rest of us get a chance to get some
danval
Somehow I don't think they will raise the price based on my comment
Joe
I paid $48 for my original pair (not per fish) that I got from Redwoods, although as many know I sadly lost them which really sucks. And now they're more expensive.
ryanjury
Price is usually based on cost + mark up + gst.. Redwoods can have lower prices because they are the importers too, $42 for a quality fish that is basically not in the country anymore is a good price good luck with breeding them! Joe
I'm not complaining about the price because it is good, I just feel really stink that I lost my pair that I paid $48 for and that if I'm to get anymore they're $42 each which would mean putting my nano project on hold but I just really want some Tri's. I want every Apisto I see lol

Good luck with the spawn, I am hoping you do well with these guys it has been a shame to loose them the last few times they came in Now just gotta wait for the borellii to show up

ryanjury
Thanks Ryan... Now to see if they are fertile... Those true Borelli do look nice. You getting some Apistos Ryan? Yeah mate, you know the story now might not be fertile the first few times but they look like nice mature fish so you never know.. Yeah we had true borellii too, weak as anything though I brought 8 of them trying to get them going with no luck, had a few spawns even got free swimming fry but lost them again No more apistos for me, have some macs and agassizi here still but will leave it to you guys who actually keep them alive
