ben19185074
Hello~ i had my cleaner shrimp in my tank for a few weeks and it was fine. Suddenly yesterday i saw the sixline wasses bite the legs off my cleaner shrimps. Now the shrimps hides all day. The shrimp has just remove his shell on that day too. Anyone had this before? lduncan
Wrasses in general are known as shrimp eaters. But six lines usually tend not to. Obviously this one has a taste for shrimp.
Ira
Especially when they're nice and soft and chewy from molting, apparently.
ben19185074
Hope the sixline don't do that much damage to my shrimp. My sixline is really small (less then an inch) the shrimp is actually bigger then him.
lduncan
Maybe the fish was taking advantage of the shrimp molting. Maybe the shrimp has learnt is lesson, and find a better hiding place next time while his skeleton hardens.
