henward
have no idea, i will ask him lol yeah eel came out, everything came out that time when photos were being taken. the fish is only 25 cms. that full tank shot is skew as it was taken in multiple shots and put together by a programme
ally07
What camera btw? Sort of thing I'd like to get. Don't do it lol. Fish keeping is expensive enough, don't add DLSRs to your hobbies haha or you'll die broke and alone. :sage: But if you really wish to venture, I would recommend the Canon 1000D or 550D for a beginner - I think prices have dropped since I last looked late last year. henward
His camera specs "Canon 1000D Digital SLR, I used a 50mm 1:8 lense for most of them and also a 18-55mm Lense for a few. the 50mm lense is good cos its fast and sharp, but you cant zoom in or out unless you move yourself"
hovmoller
Hi Henward where did you get that sand? and whats it called? Fish and tank looks awesome btw! :nfs:
henward
that is the satin black sand from petstuff on TM. expensive but well worth it, there was no other sand on the market that was that fine. the iron sand affects water and i could not risk that especially or a salt water that is supposed to be more acidic. Acid, Iron.... i dont think so:D total in the tank is 50kgs of sand. loosk nice, very fine and the ground dwellers love it!

henward
interesting int he short time i have had the aro and feeding it up wtih the varied diet. it has certainly grown and body has put on weight already. its starting to show somewhat of a spoonhead ... very slightly not the exxagerated ones that they have online, i dont like that. but i noticed, all the scales except the top row of scales are starting to blush of orange on the tips. colour change is definitely taking place already! im looking forward to putting on journal photos in another month or two
