paige.xo
Hey, I am setting up a 200l community tank and I want some ideas on what to put in it! I really want some corys though I am undecided on what type.. I was also thinking of maybe a few small-ish gourami, but I am open to any ideas! Thanks!! paige.xo
Panda cory are probably my favourite! I have three peppered cory in another tank that are quite cool as well...
Joshlikesfish
I had a school of peppered, panda and trilineatus in one tank. The tri's were my fave. But they're all awesome!
ichthus
Yep - I like angels too...so another vote there. Although, makes it hard to keep some of the smaller fish. Of all the cories, I do like the look of the leopard ones.
the-obstacle
Pandas are awesome but they limit the types of tank mates you can have as their theoretical max temperature is 26 which is most other tropicals lower temp.
ryanjury
Electric yellows, dems and peacocks A nice cichlid community!

What kind of schooling fish can you keep with them? Because I'd quite like a school of something...

paige.xo
I spent a bit of time with google and now I am thinking about a south american biotype, because corys and angelfish are both from that area. As far as plants go, what plants are from that area and what kind of lighting do they need to grow?
geana_wolf
I spent a bit of time with google and now I am thinking about a south american biotype, because corys and angelfish are both from that area. As far as plants go, what plants are from that area and what kind of lighting do they need to grow? I have just started to change my tank to south american. The plants I have used to so far are Ludwigia Helminthorrhiza (floating plant) Dwarf Sag - Sagittaria subulata Stargrass - Heteranthera zosterifolia Amazon Sword - Echinodorus Amazonicus Christmas Moss - Vesicularia dubyana hope that helps a bit. DennisP
You could do a tank full of dwarf cichlids. Apistos, or Rams... Apisto Biotope?
