Wouldn't have been hit by a car as we are in the middle of the school site so must have got itself here somehow. It was a bit stunned as we saw it hit a window just before the pic was taken. I thought maybe a kingfisher but didn't know if they were found over here. Maybe its sharing the trees with the woodpigeons, tui, fantails and rainbow lorikeets that hang around our house.
