BikBok
Flood is fussy.. he won't eat anything I've offered him so far - except bloodworms.. Have tried NLS small pellets, tropical flake, shrimp flakes.. ignores it all. Is it ok for a betta to only eat bloodworms?
Adrienne
some people raise their bettas on bloodworms and keep them on them daily until they die. Me - no! I find an increased likelyhood of them developing dropsy if feed bloodworms regularly but in saying that maybe if they are only fed them from the time they are tiny it doesn't happen. However I am pretty sure that he won't starve himself to death if you choose to feed something else. He will be fine not eating for over a week. Try giving him something like mozzy lavae and then chuck a pellet or two of dried food in the tank as well.
SamH
My Bettas have been getting only bloodworms and they love it. Sometimes mozzie larvae to shake it up a bit but they ignore flakes and most pellets.
katrina.hughes
thanks for the pics katrina.. did you breed those yourself? What do you say the colour is? I'm trying to get some sort of consensus so I can say he's such and such a colour... I think they are called 'black devil's' just google black devil betta in images and you can see what they look like. Nah, I bought these ones separately - hoping to get a bit more of an even spread in regards to the red colouring :-)

Joshlikesfish
I had one sold to me as a black flame. But its just a common name. Could be anything. If you wanted you could brand it with your own name
