Southerrrngirrl
I think you've got to do away with a few species.. You seem quite keen on the kuhlis so maybe up them to 5 (because they are said to be happier in larger groups) and maybe keep a group of tetras and a few plants, it'll still be colourful with the colours of the tetras against the green of the plants. kuhli loach
maby some tiger barbs and some kuhlis (just 2 species should be fine)
Dougstark
Kuhlis tend to hide and you may not see much of them anyway.
Carlos & Siran
we found the black kuhlis weren't quite as bad as the striped ones.
kuhli loach
I've heard you get to see more of them if they are in larger groups. Would they be happier and more confident in a single species tank?
Joe
No they'll be fine with the other fish. I used to have Khulis in a community tank and they were out and about all the time. I even used sand for a substrate once and they never buried themselves!
kuhli loach
Great!!!
antwan
Also, platies are prolific breeders, so if you get a male and female, or even without males (females store sperm), you will have them coming out of your ears in a few months.
