Bristlenose sucky fish

It is plecostomus and don't worry, a bristlenose is not a plecostomus anyway so no need to spell it

Bristlenoses (Ancistrus sp) are egg layers. They lay in caves or under logs. You can't mistake their eggs as they are very large and bright orange. The male looks after them too. You will probably find more fry but they are well camouflaged. The white patch on the tail gives them away.

On the topic of bristle nose catfish...I have a male. If I get him a girlfriend will they definitely breed or fight? Or should I just get another male for a friend and will 'they' fight. OR! should I leave him single.

If you get a female they will definitely breed, fight or ignore each other. If you get a male they will definitely fight or ignore each other.

No guarantees, but they rarely fight any more than the occasional little argument...
