Zdoda
Not sure if this is correct place, but i am looking for flat rocks in or around the auckland region, i have been too thames out where family are and only found round rocks at the rivers. looking ideally for slate rocks or something similar that i can stack easily and build a decent rock background. :bounce:
DennisP
Try a landscaping shop. They sell rocks usually, cheap as.
the-obstacle
Someone suggested earlier that you can get slate tiles from bunnings / the warehouse and smash them to make cool looking pieces of slate that can then be stacked. Ira
Yup, landscaping place. Obviously going out and collecting them yourself is free, but unless you like searching for it the time is probably worth more.

David R
Bunnings will be pricey com5rated with somewhere like S&WW, I'd say. Probably won't have as big a selection too [despite what their ads say].
Zdoda
Would using slate have any negative effects in the tank? also found a great place on the shore (will update with there name and addy so others can go check out)
