alanmin4304
I have been having problems with my pressurised CO2 system in maintaining a constant even supply of gas. Where abouts can I buy a needle valve in order to get finer control over the gas flow?
A-town...
most regulators come complete with needle valves. Mine is an old dupla one does quite a good job. Have a look on trademe
kiwiplymouth
I have purchased them on ebay in the past
A-town...
I have purchased them on ebay in the past are they any good. do they all fit nz bottles?
alanmin4304
Do they attach to the bottle or are they on the tubing?
kiwiplymouth
Some connect to the tubing like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/CO2-Needle-Valve-Re ... 3a4db1dcc7 I bought a 3 way splitter, each with its own needle valve. It connects to the regulator. http://cgi.ebay.com/ANS-3-way-Brass-Co2 ... 3cabb45612
alanmin4304
Will the first one connect to standard air hose sized tubing? (I have been using hospital oxygen tubing which is about the same size as normal air hose). I am after a bit more fine tuning as my system doesn't seem to want to flow at a constant rate. kiwiplymouth
Yep they connect to standard air hose sized tubing. These are not super high quality (as you can see by the price) Only a fraction of a turn is the difference between 1 and 2 B.P.S but when set the B.P.S stays stable and does not need readjusting
alanmin4304
Thanks, looks like I might have to do the ebay thing.
dreams
hi sorry to hijack! I was wondering with the 3 way splitter, do you get any problems with Co2 pressure changing over time in separate tanks? Thanks
kiwiplymouth
I have had the splitter for 4-5 months. No problems at all so far
