Kissing Gourami (Helostoma temmincki)

Actually, it is not a sign of love-making or aggression.

Not many people realize the Kissing Gourami have teeth in lines on their lips,

now, by doing this action that appears like kissing,

it is their only method of cleaning their teeth.

Can you just imagine the bad-breathe of those poor kissing gourami that are kept on their own.

Scientists haven't invented a suitable toothbrush yet for those singles.

I wonder if a really small loofah would do the trick?

Alan are you pulling my leg? :D

The bigger one is about 75mm and differs a bit in shape,

the smaller one has a more oval body,

they are nice fish to keep get along with each other

well when they are not cleaner their teeth :D

Also do a good job on cleaning the plants.
