Caryl
I wondered what was going on at one end of the tank and discovered these 2 angels... have had a thing going and have laid eggs on the internal Shark filter They won't last long as I haven't taken the 10 rosy barbs out yet so I doubt there will be any fry. I know I could remove the filter and raise them artificially but I am all for letting the parents do it. They might spawn again after I have taken the barbs out. Besides, I really don't need a whole lot of angels!

Caryl
They are still guarding eggs this morning. I am leaving the lights on 24hrs so they aren't fighting off raiders in the dark.
Brianemone
looks like they are very protective parents
Caryl
That's why I have left things alone. Late afternoon and they are still guarding. I am feeding a little more to the others in the hopes they lose interest in the eggs.
Luke*
How're they going Caryl?
Caryl
They made a nice meal for the tank inhabitants. I am sure they will spawn again. I have to remove the rosy barbs sometime in the next few days and put them out in their pond so perhaps the angels will have more success with the next lot. Luke*
It's getting pretty warm up here in the BOP so it must be nearly time to try the new setup for the rosy barbs?? Are they quite prolific breeders?
Caryl
No idea I've never tried spawning them before  Managed to catch 8 of the 10 today and release them in the pond ( a 6ft paddling pool).
