henward
when i go in there and there is no food,t heya ll sit around, peacefully. but funny is when i feed, the males chase each other around. then they dont get to eat as much as the medium to smaller ones cos they so busy chasing at times no major harassment but just a bit of aggression. also, i found that the two females that just spawned couple days back, is agro towards even other males, event he biggest ones. are discus in a constant state of agro? Adrienne
Males are rarely peaceful as they each like their own bit of territory and if they have paired with females they really don't like other males in their 'patch'. They are cichlids after all. You really need to put some form barriers into your tank so that there are hiding places especially if one discus is receiving unwanted attention from several others. Bigger, full grown, mature discus tend to eat less as well.
henward
how much less will theye at? say the full grow ones, compared to smaller ones? 50% less or 80% less? well, the tank has plants, no one discus is picke don, its like a frenzy lol so its kinda even:D but the biggest male, the giant cobalt seems to be not the top dog, weird, usually biggest is the dominant right? livingart
usually biggest is the dominant right not always in any species many things make an alpha animal

k1w1y2k
If you add food to as many parts of the tank then that can help with the feeding problems. If the females are laying but chassing the males away then they are just laying, but havent paired up, so the eggs are likely to be infertile. henward
yeah, eggs are gone, eaten yeah, i put food mainly at the centre of the tank. good idea i will try spreading the food out so they get even feeding grounds i find that the alpha male, is kinda protecting the middle feeding ground. though they all get food, they are fed with auto feeder during the day. all of them look fat and satisfied lol
Adrienne
I found with my males that the top dog changed around a bit. No idea why.
