Billaney Posted November 26, 2004 Report Share Posted November 26, 2004 Hi Everyone I just wanted to ask: A pair of neon swordtails i have just lately are showing 3 or 4 dark vertical bars on there sides, The female i'm pretty sure is pregnent due to an enlarged gravid spot and a slowly growing tummy. Although the bars do not mean they are ready to mate, it might mean they are in better (or worse) condition that before so have coloured up that little bit more, making the bars more noticeable.
