SamH
All the glosso died off when I planted it, then the new growth came through. Mine was purchased obviously immersed though. HTH
JazzyJeff
Looks like I will have to play the waiting game!
alanmin4304
If you have the right conditions to grow it you will have the right conditions to convert it from emersed to submersed. If not it is going to have problems anyway. It is not one of the easiest plants to grow.
bobo
Hate to hijack the thread, but it seems relevant: My glosso seems to be growing quickly/thickly, but also 'up'. I read that this can be caused by not enough CO2 for light strength. I have four cheap 40w lights over a 120l (40cm) deep tank and use two DIY CO2 mixes. Should I switch one of the lights off? Cheers

Cheers I think you will find it will need more light to grow across the substrate. It is growing up to get closer to the light.
N1CK
I thought it grew upwards due to lack of light... how bright is it at the bottom of the tank? Are they T5/8 tubes?, Age, and what do you mean by cheap 40w lights? any ferts/ect?
phoenix44
I thought it grew upwards due to lack of light... That's exactly what simon means. when there isnt enough light down below, plants grow upwards to get more light.
alanmin4304
Not enough light and the plant is growing upwards to get more.
