you could always stick a lid on the tank to stop them jumping? :D

yeah, there is a lid on the tank now. its been there for ages. All i need now is a male red eye.

Riccia will do the same thing but without the black water

I would not mind riccia somewhere in my large tank.

Thanks to oscnz, I now have a male red eye! :D

Now after my exams I will read more on how to breed them and give it a serious go.

So far I have left all my fish to do their own thing, and this has been a successful technique.

Hmm, I wonder who he learnt that from - are the females older?

Hey! I resemble that remark!

Actually I tend to be partial to all pretty ladies...you just dont notice because you bring your man with you....and I'm afraid of your pointy stick :-?

sigh. The new male has now killed all the females.

he is just one fat angry fish. thows everything else out of the tank, and yes the tank has lids. just one 1cmx2cm gap where half a cube of bloodworms fits in from, and he throws the females out of there.

Oh wow! Is this the same with all male puffers? Or is this guy just a bit of an angry fella lol?

male red eye puffers are highly intolerant of other males.

also aggressive toward females, unless the male is smaller than the female.

Ah i see, will they attack other types of fish? Like those yellow ones you have in the tank ?
