bdspider
++++++++++++++WARNING SAD POST+++++++++++ Ok, I got some creme eggs yesterday cos they are my absolute favourite and I lucked out on genes so can eat whatever I want and usually eat about 1 a day til easter.... And they were such a disappointment! Now that they're UK imported ones they are completely different. They didn't have the yum gooey bit in the centre, which was the best part about them. There's now just a little bit of orange dye on the white part. So sad
SamH
I love creme eggs too! Are you sure they were "Cadbury Creme Eggs"?
bdspider
Yes, definitely. But y'know, Cadbury had it's revamp & now the Dunedin factory specialises in boxed chocs, the Aussie factories do the bars & slabs, there's a few in SE Asia that do something else, but all the Creme eggs are now from UK Stupid Cadbury... I still bought their chocolate when they had the palm oil debacle, but this time there will be no forgiveness EDIT: See, here's the link that has a diagram at the bottom about where everything is made now http://choclovers.co.nz/press-release/
Zev
So are you encouraging us to go out and check that this is the same all around the country? Any excuse is good enough for me!
bdspider
Well, I've already seen other people post about it on Cadburys facebook.... But if you also feel the need to confirm.... Just make sure you don't waste your money on a 4 pack. Oh yeah, they've gone up in price too. ($1.29 instead of $.99... unless they'll lower it closer to easter)
SamH
Going food shopping this evening, will try get one then. $1.29 is a bit steep though
Anthony
They were $1.29 last year too...
pufferfishnz
they never ever lower the price before easter...or any holiday for that matter. look at the price of strawberries on the 22nd or 23rd of dec, then look at them on the 24th! im one supermarket they went from $1.99 on the 23rd to $3.49 on the 24th!! rip off.... but people still buy them. Just wait until after easter....thats when its cheap! ....And did you know that all the easter eggs that we will be consuming this easter have actually been made between August last year and now..... stillnzcookie
http://www.pimpthatsnack.com/project/302/ I dare you When the Creme Egg boxes first came out (with the big egg and the two creme eggs), there was much disappointment that the big egg was hollow... Zev
Hmmm.... 2.25kg of creme egg - that would make for one crook gut if you ate it in one go! Not to mention Sam would be running around like this all day
SamH
Not to mention Sam would be running around like this all day Hey! Sugar doesn't do anything to me! It would be nice blended up in ice cream as they said on the last page.
