Ira
Note to self: when topping off the tank water(I run a hose from the sink through a micron and DI filter) don't leave it trickling and then go to watch a tape of The Practice and forget about it. At least it looks like only a few liters overflowed the sump and I'd been planning to lower the salinity down to 1.025ish anyway...Just hadn't planned on doing it all at once... Doc Holiday
I haven't spilt more than a few drops yet (touch wood), it's amazing how carefull you can be when your life depends on it (the mrs would kill me if I flooded her expensive carpet and I'd say the fish would come to the same fate!) RnB
I use a huge internal diameter hose when changing water it syphons out a 25L container in about 20 seconds! keeps the mind focused! still i layout two big old blankets onto the floor before doing anything involving water and mop off saltwater mess afterwards..... best investment ever having this as you can syphon out sand without blocking the hose! I hate that.
