phoenix44
I have a "project" tank that is coming along well. Out of fluke it has grown some algae that is beautiful, and i would like for it to spread across the sides and the rear wall of the tank. It has stopped growing unfortunately :-? and i needs to make it grow! how can i make it happy and grow?
Nymox
Mines grown right up the glass on the back, didnt let it grow anywhere else. Its an ar380 though, so the water kinda flows up that back wall a little, the part of that wall that is near the powerhead however the growth has stopped, so im thinking perhaps the waterflow has helped it grow up some what. Ferts in the tank are ferrotab and folourish excell. Mines no where near as nice as that though, good luck on growing it.
phoenix44
hmm. water flow should be the least of the problems. I filter 1300LPH on a 54L tank, and there is a HOB as well
Nymox
yeah but Im saying that the direction of the flow, its running up that back section of glass. flows down the front and up the back, so it might be helping it to climb up the glass. If that makes things any clearer.
SamH
I have heaps growing on my glass. Scraping it off the sides and front but leaving it on the back. Used to get it before I moved the tank too, looks wonderful. Who's going to hold back N1CK's hair while he spews?

SamH
If it's the same as mine, it'll grow under 72w of T8 very well but for a much better price Doesn't grow on the plants which is mot excellent. 8)
