wellmax
My Sword Plants have developed brown spots that look like algae but then after time a little hole will appear. Also is it true you can use Peace Lilly as an aquarium plant? Regards.
Aquila
Hi, I also have a few plants (borneo sword, and one i don't know the name of) that started doing this. I don't know for sure why it was happening but i bumped one of my light tubes up to a 10000K and it looks like its stopped...i was dosing liquid co2 and fert before as well as currently so that variable hasn't changed. I have a peace lily in my tank. Its growing new leaves regularly, and it flowered (but the flower disintegrated pretty quickly). I was told that it would survive underwater for about 2 years and then it'll start dying...so you'll have to take it out.
alanmin4304
Peace lillies are not aquatic and will only survive for a short time submersed. Lack of potassium can cause holes in the leaves or fish that like eating plants.
wellmax
Allen, I note you advise potassium for my problem, I have been using Flourish and JBL Balls. There is no potassium in these fertilisers. Do you know of a product that has this in? Regards
kiwiplymouth
The PMDD that Hans is making and selling contains potassium sulphate and potassium nitrate. The other ingredients are listed here. http://www.fishkeepers.co.nz/forums/vie ... f=11&t=595 Sorry Caryl and Zev I couldn't find a list of ingredients on this site
