bdspider
I bought a $30 desk off trademe and sanded it down and painted it. It's great. One side has drawers to keep food, nets etc in. The other side is a cupboard. I broke out that back of that so I could put a canister filter inside.
diver21
ive got a cinder block stand at the moment, i love it. its just got a sheet over it to hide all the bricks. i will take a photo of it when i get home tonite when i move the tank and plant it out. ive found that its fine but you do need to think about the footprint of the tank vs the footprint of the bricks, you dont really want it top heavy, and 3 bricks high put it at a nice height
Nymox
This is a great idea, I never thought of that, as im not concerned about the visual aspect of my stands, blocks will be perfect. Thanks for posting that!
Caryl
The holes in the blocks are good to stash containers of fish food etc too
