Barrie
why not put the flash in the top of the tank (movable head on it?) and reduce the power out put? To me, the 2nd photo is showing "funny"marks on the back that can only be caused by other reflections
Zev
Have you meticulously cleaned the front glass, some of the noise could be coming from there as well, you would be surprised how much a bit of dust or fluff shows on a pic like this. The other alternative is to not have a plain background like Hristo does so that you cannot see the fuzz!
SupaGreen
well seen as its low ISO and fast shutter speed I doubt what ever you can see is noise. the water did have heaps of white particles in it, because silly me I topped the water up in the tank before i took water out, so it stirred up all the stuff on the bottom. Have to wait till Tuesday for my 50mm f/1.8 II Brent has a pretty glamorous fighter I was planning to borrow but I might actually buy it. i'll by one of those planted backing sheets so see how that looks too
SupaGreen
Well I got a beautiful fighter from Pupuke, but my clown loaches killed it sooo I put the clown loachs in with the Discus, and went and got another fighter, not as good looking though

oeminx
you might want to turn the brightness on you screen up a bit, Try this
SupaGreen
37 LCD it just changes brightness based on the brightness of the room. on your screen is the fish super bright? I think its more to do with resolution than brightness.

Zev
Nice action shot, Supa. Looks good Ryan, there seems to be an inconsistency in the background of the tank, I can see it in both of the landscape versions of the unedited pics, bottom left quarter. SupaGreen
reflections perhaps? my camera is silver its a shocker for reflections.
oeminx
Ok lets call the pics 1,2 and 3 from top to bottom. so Zev you can see an inconsistency in the background in pic 1 and 2?
Zev
Pic 2, could be a reflection, but it looks a bit weird when you yank the highlights up, and I cannot tell if it is behind or in front of the fish, but the glass definitely needs a clean with a lint free cloth - I can see water marks and fluff! Barrie
the tank back ground is exactly the same...its a different system to the first one I made Its the same system as splashbacks are made from What happens is that the glass is chemically cleaned then sprayed and lastly baked
