JazzyJeff
Aside from the local petstore - where does one buy aquatic plants?
phoenix44
trademe has some really nice ones pop up from time to time. Also, lots goes for sale here. Lots goes for free as well on here as there is a unwritten rule to pass on plants that were not paid for in the first place - especially the not so common / unusual ones. VinsonMassif
AlanMin4304 on here has them for sale sometimes, and on TM under a similar name too. He is a legend at aquarium plants especially swords.
JazzyJeff
So the ones on TM arrive in good condition? I have seen a few on there that look nice might give it a go? See if Alan has any - Thanks guys
VinsonMassif
IME Alan's arrive in good form. Be careful, and always ask how the person will send them. Often they send them in a flattened bag in a regular envelope, this leaves the plant stems squashed and crumpled and some will melt on you. This is the case because aquatic plants do not have thick cellulose cell walls to hold them erect because the water buoy them up. So always check. I have found a bunch of people charge $5 for postage and send it in a regular envelope with $1 stamp.
alanmin4304
I don't have plants available at present but should have swords mainly in the Summer.
