enzoom1
My powerhead for my juwel lido has stopped working! I did a water change today and after I turned the power back on it worked normally. But 10 minutes ago when I went to feed the fish it wasnt working I've never had a problem with it before.. What can I do?? TIA P.S. It's the Juwel Bioflow Pump
VinsonMassif
Clean the powerhead. Take apart the impeller assembly and remove any gunk in it.
enzoom1
Yeah I did that. There was little to no gunk inside it. I think it's more of a equipment failure than from poor maintenance. e.g. there's no humming or buzzing or anything.. just silence I'm going to leave it be for tonight and take it into HFF to get a new one because it's still under warranty. VinsonMassif
Good Idea.
Ira
Give the powerhead a smack or stick something down the outlet or inlet and give the impeller a flick. A lot of small powerheads are really horrible at starting up because they don't have the torque to get moving if they're not perfectly positioned. enzoom1
Done all of that.. still no luck. I'll just have to make a trip up to HFF 2morow.
phoenix44
go to whereever you bought the tank from and get a new one. I got Mel's powerhead replaced on the spot.
enzoom1
yay! Got the powerhead replaced and I also got the juwel heater replaced as it was playing up and would not get the water temp higher than 22*C. Although, they had to order it into the shop so I had to make two trips :-? Overall good job HFF!!
