John Taylor
Have purchased and installed a feature Waterfall and small pond (approx 200L). Waterfall has a 900mm fall. I am finding that I need to top up the water each day by 10L. Any thoughts on reasons??? PS. Definitely have NO leaks!!
alanmin4304
Evapouration because of the increased surface area caused by the waterfall.
Zev
Hi John, and welcome to the forums. We loose a lot of water out of our indoor tanks because the cats drink it! Can you please add your location by going to the User Control Panel at the top of the page, this may help with any other queries you may have if any locals wish to offer help. Caryl
We lose water from our waterfall. I suspect some is going through the rocks somewhere we can't see and secondly, as it goes through our external filter, it is splashing outside of the filter box itself. As Alan has suggested, you will be surprised how much you lose through evaporation!
