Dixon1990
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Pe ... 334773.htm The fish in the top, looks exactly like the GM danio X normal danios i saw before they were all destroyed. Who do i send this to? I have asked a question to the buyer and they haven't replied, although they have been using trademe.
livingart
have you tried contacting trademe?
A-town...
dixon I thought you would be trying to buy them then make thousands of dollars and just say it was a throw back from your "albino"strain
alanmin4304
When I inadvertantly bought some plants off trademe that spoke with a Singaporean accent I had a visit from two people, one of which was Jeff Storey LLB (investigator) whose Email addy is: [email protected] I am sure he would be interested in a return visit to Christchurch in the middle of winter. twinkles
there's a number on the pest fish page here for people to contact about it?
Aquatopia
Alternatively you might consider the possibility that its just a red tinge caused by a multiple of variables such as flash (evident in the picture) or reflection of something else thats red, or chromatic abberation, or poor quality camera, or poor quality image processing on their computer - rather than jumping to conclusions !! Have you seen the other fish in the pic ? They also look a lot "redder" than one might expect. Personally I think that pic shows the danio with a lot more gold than I would have expected if it was one of the red GM fish (comparing against the pics of them on TM I saw when they were being sold). Im definitely not condoning GM fish, and dont want to get drawn into an argument about the topic, but I think its necessary to have something stronger to go on than a very dodgy pic. How about buying their current listed fish using the buy now as a pretext to seeing their tank and the danio in question so you can verify your concerns before taking any (possibly) incorrect action ? Dixon1990
Im not making a inccorrect action, im saying it looks like, and 'You might want to check it out'. As they say if you see a fish that looks like it could be GM, let them know.

Also the fact that they had been on trademe and not replied to the question about it being pink makes it a bit suspicious.
alanmin4304
I have heard the rumour that some were crossed and are around.

Hmm, you may have a point there - I have just looked back at your question and see it was asked a week before the auction closed so they ought to have time to reply.
