tinytawnykitten
I am looking at upgrading my tank to a 4ft. At the moment I just have a 3ish ft (slightly over) tank about 230L. Will my floor need to be strengthened for this? The tank is against an outside wall, and the house is a 1962 wooden floored Beazley home. Any clues? jc360
The floor will be fine. i agree, but it could be worth going under the house to check there isn't any rot or bora in the floor boards.
alanmin4304
It is the height of the water which can be a problem not the length of the tank.
kiwiplymouth
My 8 footer is in the lounge on the second story of our house. It is against a supporting wall with the floor joists running off the supporting wall and not parallel with it ( If you know what i mean). Don't worry about your tank, It will be fine.
