Air Pump

Featured Replies

does anyone use small compressors as air pumps in their tanks i have seen some for around $60-$90 but will they be any good for a 500 litre tank ?

I use a 70LPM one in my fishroom and it does around 15 airstones/air powered filters with no problems and still air spare.. I think I have seen the smaller 1200LPH (20LPM) ones on trademe quite cheaply like this one http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Pe ... 455242.htm they would be more than enough air to do one large tank.

They are noisy though and the diaphragms wear out (like anything else I guess).. Have you tried larger 2 outlet standard air pumps?

i have a 4 outlet pump at the moment but needs baffles replaced i dont know if i can get spare parts for it

dont know what parts i need never had one apart but it makes a very loud rattling noise when turned up over 1/2 way

have now pulled the pump apart and one of the bottom diaphrams has broken away from the arm and is just vibrating against the housing w2here can i get new diaphrams from ?

Any shop that sells aqua one products should be able to help you with the parts for it :) The diaphragms wear out all the time so should be a commonly available part, good luck maybe livingart can help also?
