Elaine
Hi Guys, me again. Doza is doing well eating his/her crickets and meal worms/wax moth lavae spread over veges to try and get him/her to eat (still no real success there, but that's another story). Anyway I just realised I haven't cleaned out any poo for the last 4 days??? Is this normal? Doza has been out of his enclosure a bit but can't see any around the lounge. The kids and I weighed him this morning came in at 170 grams and measures 370 (even with the bent tail). Am I worried about nothing? Also if I put a mirror in his enclosure would it help me to tell if Doza is a boy or girl? Current age I think is 25 weeks. Yell if i'm wrong Chilli. All help appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Freakz Nz
Hi Elaine, Put a him in a big shallow bowl of warm water ... I bet he will poop then ! plus it is funny watching them dunk their heads under and go for a look around - Munch loves it
Elaine
Thanks guys.!!!! WE HAVE SUCCESS... Dropped doza into a bowl of water and away we go. Ho, what an exciting live i lead.... Wish I could get him to eat veges that easily. PS just saying he, as that's what the kids would like. No idea actually. Hoping the bath will also help with some skin that doesn't seem to want to shed off his tail................. Thanks again.
Freakz Nz
With veggies, try dandiloin flowers, you hold them infront of their nose and spin it, i think it annoys them and they eat it to get rid of it - lol The clover and dandilion greens are a real hit, even if you put Doza outside on the grass, he will eat what he likes and it is normally the clover. It is so funny to see a little BD trying to eat a leaf, when they are using all their might to tear it, kind of like a dog pulling on a rope toy. Sweetysmum
Hi Elaine, My fella is going on eight months and no matter how or what i try to do to pursuade him, he will not touch his veges or salad. If a piece accidentally goes in with something live he screws his eyes up and stops eating. If i wiggle it around in front of him his mouth will stay tighly closed. But still we keep trying. :-? Elaine
ditto sweetysmum. Just got to keep on trying. Had the odd piece go down, but think that was totally by accident.
