kiwiplymouth
I have just got 2 chocolate talking catfish approx 5cm in size. I have put them in with my treasured dwarf plecs for a week or so until I get the next new tank sorted. I have read that chocolates can be quite aggressive and carnivorous. Do I need to worry about chocolates of this size??
phoenix44
they aren't aggressive. more so they are total and absolute hogs, so will eat tetras etc if they can catch them. plecs should be ok.
kiwiplymouth
plecs should be ok. You don't sound that positive. I would hate to loose $1000 of dwarf plecs By the way, I see that you are 21 Aren't you supposed be out on the turps with your mates on a friday night

kiwiplymouth
I admire your dedication. Assignments didn't seem that important when i was your age. I will finish my bourbon and think about what other tank i can throw these chocolates into
phoenix44
i say that with a rum and coke in one hand, and an advanced finance book in front of me, 2 excel spreadsheets open with more numbers in them than i can bother counting, and a parrot running around my hand over the mouse. its quite chaotic really. haha

phoenix44
key KP.. you don't have a butterfly pleco by any chance do you?
kiwiplymouth
key KP.. you don't have a butterfly pleco by any chance do you? It depends which butterfly pleco you are talking about. If you mean L168 then unfornunately no. But if you mean Scientific Name(s): Gastromyzon borneensis, Gastromyzon punctulatus, Pseudogastromyzon myersi Common Name(s): Stingray Pleco, Hong Kong Pleco, Borneo Sucker, Hillstream Loach, Chinese Butterfly Fish,Butterfly Pleco, Butterfly Loach Then the answer is yes.
