I'm heading down to Wanaka for Easter Weekend, so wont be here for 5 Days to feed my Discus or Community Tank, thought I would maybe invest in an Automatic Fish Feeder. How reliable are they? ryanjury Posted March 25, 2009 Report Share Posted March 25, 2009 I would probably starve the fish for 5 days, maybe load the tanks up with daphnia before I left or something, or even ask a local fish keeping friend to feed them for you.. alanmin4304 Posted March 25, 2009 Report Share Posted March 25, 2009 I have a RENA which turns the lights on/off. turns the air off for 5 minutes and then feeds the fish before turning the air on again. Mr McFish Posted March 29, 2009 Report Share Posted March 29, 2009 You could use daphnia and put them in a live bearer trap then they dont all get eaten at once, they just escape out the holes I done it in a guppy tank and it worked.
