puttputt
I've got a real nice orange one, with alot more polyps than the red cap, wasn't called cap??. I think you bought them in a while ago reef, as I got it from Hollywood, albany. Got hammered by the nudis, but they have gone, and it's back to its full glory. Here it is tonight... reef
Got my lux meter today, Tested the new ati t5s and found that they were about 55000lux about 200mm below the lamps. Pretty bright for t5s. My 400w was about 71000Lux however dramatic drop when you move the meter 50mm away from the centre. Also found it makes a bog difference which bulbs you use as the t5s supa white where much brighter than any other t5s bulbs, The t5s put out a far better average of lighting over the tank. No wonder you see some awesome t5 tanks as a good t5unit puts out good lighting,

reef
no its not submergible. got it from trade me. submergible would be good however you can work out that you will get big drop off once you go below the water.
JDM
very nice! full the sensor of the lux meter with silicone, this will make it water proof, but also make a repair to it hard to do.

Jeroen
Reef, Would you know what light frequency the Lux meter measures? Do you see a difference when reading same strenght ligths at 6500K or 20000K.

reef
Reef, Would you know what light frequency the Lux meter measures? measuring rate 200-50,000 lux. Do you see a difference when reading same strenght ligths at 6500K or 20000K. the blue bulbs are not are bright as whiter bulbs. so 6500k will be far brighter than 20k
