livingart
breed for approximately 3 months or until it gets too cold can lay up to 11 eggs per clutch and up to 3 nests a year bigger clutch size usually fewer clutches lay in same place each season
alanmin4304
I have one female that laid 8 each time 7 times last year and another that laid 4-5 but 4 times, and this year a lot less so they vary a bit.
repto
alot to do with the food ammount and quality and the day length, mine are outside year round and I get very few eggs after the longest day. They lay every three weeks if fed well, mine start around labourweekend. alanmin4304
Mine are inside and they lay every 3 weeks as well. If you watch them carefully you will learn their wee habits and be able to tell when they are about to lay.
turtlemantaken
My best turtles effort was 9 batches in a season, total of 116 eggs with 7 infertile. 8 days has been shortest gap between layings but food and conditions have to be perfect to get that sort of number and as NZ is pretty well flooded I don't push them now, or even incubate half the eggs I get.
