Zev
Hmm.. Datamatrix, handy wee things that can contain 2300 odd alphanumeric characters with a very good level of redundancy.

Stella
Why, whywhywhywhywhywhywhy, would someone want a phone that scans barcodes? What about a phone that does a DECENT QUALITY phonecall for a reasonable fee, instead of all these silly bells and whistles to make up for the fact that they are barely able to do what they are 'supposed' to be used for, ie make telephone calls. Andrew_W
they use them everywhere in Japan. Say want a web address on your phone, just open the scanner, and the url is on your phone. You can add numbers address txt, pretty much anything u want in the blink of an eye. they use it for like business cards, magazine ads, billboards ect. I know when I want to use the web browser on my phone, the worst part is typing in the address
