chilli
Hi everyone i have just had a bengal kitten dropped off by the breeder(its a snow one) the breeder bathed it and put talc on it to smell nice(i dont like smell) anyway its eyelids are a bit red i thought it might be from talc but someone told me that it could be feline herpes(this person had two cats from this breeder that had herpes) does anyone else know much about this, is it life threatening ill take to vet and get checked out vacs micro etc or do u think it could be talc? livingart
hi Chilli wait until the vet has checked it, then you will know if it is talk or not then you will know if to believe that person in the future as well might be the talc though talc is not a good thing to do to a cat ps i like bengals and abbysinians

Rozski
Photos photos!! Bengals are gorgeous, but have been led to believe they are very outgoing cats (and not shy!) Not many snow breeders either, where did this wee lad come from? I like checking out breeders and admiring their beauties 8)

Ira
It's commonly done with long, fine haired cats, stops the fur from sticking together a bit so they look nice and fuzzy. Especially in places like behind the ears. Works to pretty them up for showing.
lmsmith
Is it bad for them? Does it make black cats look grey?

Ira
so it's common to use products for humans on animals - since when? Since always? There is nothing about a grinding up a lump of magnesium silicate that makes talcum powder's uses only work on animals. There are also dozens if not hundreds of human medications that work great and are commonly used on animals. And this is before we get into the fact that humans ARE animals.
